Cyanotype is a photographic printing process discovered by Sir John Herschel and was used by Christian Marclay, Marco Breuer, Kate Cordsen, Hugh Scott-Douglas, WuChi-Tsung and also Anna Atkins who was considered to be the first female photographer. Anna Atkins was a botanist and thus she would take her cyanotypes of her botanic subjects.
