Puzzled 'em game
Puzzled 'em is a game made in 1934, the main basis being there are twenty four cards with confusing images of everyday things on and the goal is to guess what every one is, the person who guesses the most right wins the game. The game can be seen as very similar to abstract still life photography because of the purposeful unconventional nature that they have used to make the images more difficult to make out. Ideas
I'd like to explore this idea of simple things where it is difficult to make out what it is. The white background makes it really simple and aesthetically pleasing and I would like to try that again as well because I thought it came out quite well in my edges personalised response. I'd also like to try to do it so I take pictures of things in the classroom and then the challenge is to find where it is in the class. |
Here are some photos I've taken, I'm not very happy with them but I can't really tell what it is that I don't like about them, although I do know that I don't like them because they won't do well as cards and also because there aren't the recommended 10 but there is something else I don't like about them, I think maybe because it is like my old work or maybe because I had to edit them in iPhoto so they didn't look so bad or maybe because the colours are so bland in them but I know that I can improve my work and not do these things later on.
My final card designs with lines so they are easier to cut out
